translation

My mother tongue is Mandarin Chinese, I can also speak Taiwanese, English, and some Spanish. I can speak Taiwanese, because since I was young my dad and my grandfather often speak Taiwanese to me. In Taiwan many people can speak Taiwanese, especially in the south part of Taiwan. My university is in the south part, my classmates they all can speak Taiwanese. My Taiwanese is not very fluent yet. Sometimes when I want to speak Taiwanese, I would accidentally speak (out) in English and Spanish.

My English is pretty good, I think it’s because when I was in senior high school I watched too many American tv series. At that time I also like reading English novels, I think those things are more interesting than the textbooks in the school. Aside from that, I also learned to sing many English songs. I like singing, sometimes I think my voice is pretty good, haha.

Around two years ago, after I went to Mexico, I started to learn Spanish. In the beginner I was pretty lazy, I didn’t study very seriously. And later on because my students introduced me some Spanish songs. It let me start to be interested in Spanish. Because I want to have understandings of what they’re singing. I want to be able to speak Spanish. I think Spanish is good-sounding. It has this kind of charm.

I think learning a language can be hard, it can also be simple. If we’re interested, and willing to spend time to learn, then it feels easier. If we’re not that interested, then it feels more difficult.
